Frank Kosak was born in Chicago, Illnois the son of Bertha Harris and Frank Kosak, Sr. He grew up during the Great Depression and served in the Army during World War II. A few months after coming home from the war, he met Martha Simpson. They married 2 weeks after they met. They had 3 children and were married for almost 30 years when Martha passed away from a brain tumor. He re-married several years later to the former Mildred Greer, who also preceded him in death. Frank worked as an electrical contractor for most of his life, obtaining his final electrical license from the State of North Carolina just one month before he passed away at age 83. He chose to be cremated, but his ashes were buried by his children in the plot next to Martha's in her family cemetery. A foot stone for Frank was placed on the plot next to hers.
