MRS. JOEL F. PRESTON DIES
DEATH OCCURS SUDDENLY AT OAKLAND HOSPITAL
Mrs. Joel F. Preston a life long resident of this vicinity, died suddenly at the Oakland hospital Thursday morning. Apparently getting along well following a major operation Monday, Mrs. Preston succumbed suddenly as the result of an embolism. Her death occurred at the age of 60 years. Mrs. Preston was born at Uehling on June 6, 1880. Her marriage to Mr. Preston occurred May 10, 1905. They have farmed north of here many years. Mr. Preston and four children, Theodore, superintendent of schools at Millard, Mrs. Kenneth Carlson (Ruth) of Oakland, Joel, Jr., of Omaha, and Mrs. G. B. Hutchins (Irma) of Lincoln, and six grandchildren are among the survivors. Funeral services will be held at the Preston home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. L. R. Davis of Wahoo, until recently pastor of the First Methodist church here will officiate. Burial will be made in the local cemetery with Palmquists in charge of arrangements.
