SHINER - Edna Karnau Rebecek, age 86, passed away January 6, 2015.
She was born November 9, 1929 in Shiner to the late Henry and Johanna Pfetzing Karnau.
She was a lifetime member of Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner. She was baptized, confirmed and married her beloved Daniel 'Rex' Rebecek in this church. Now we will celebrate her passing at her church where she started her life.
Survivors are her son, Larry Rebecek and wife Sandi of Round Rock; grandson, Jerod Rebecek and wife Jacquelyn of Round Rock; 2 great-grandchildren, Daniel and Duke; sister, Irma Kubicek of Shiner; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel 'Rex' Rebecek in 2006; grandson, Jacob 'Jake' Rebecek in 1998; sister, Lorene 'Toots' Williams.
Visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral Service 2 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016 at United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner with Rev. Elaine Gomulka officiating. Burial at Shiner Cemetery.
