Lillian Mae Behrens Burr of Denton died at her home Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, after a courageous struggle with cancer. She was 64. Born April 23, 1933 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick August and Lucie Asche Behrens. After graduating from Cordova High School in 1950, she attended Goldey-Beacom College from which she graduated in 1952. On June 8, 1952, she married H. Warren Burr in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cordova and they lived in Denton. Mrs. Burr was a Caroline County school bus driver for 25 years and was secretary of the Caroline County School Bus Contractors Association. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was formerly a Sunday school teacher. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Howard W. Burr Jr. of San Francisco; three daughters, Linda B. Deibel of Bridgeville, Del., Lorraine M. B. and her husband, Michael J. Prete, of Monrovia and Beverly A. and her husband David C. Ward Jr. of Denton; five grandchildren,' Jason H. Deibel, Amanda Behrens Ward, Andrea B. Ward, Lauren M. Prete and Alexander M. Prete. Grandson Adam Prete died Nov. 1, 1993. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cordova. Friends may call at the church an hour before the service and on Tuesday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Easton from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
