Mrs. Christine Binner, 75, longtime Wabasha resident, died early Saturday morning of cancer at a Riverside California, hospital. She was born here June 6, 1888, daughter of the late Gerhardt and Elizabeth Budde. She was married to Michael Binner who died in 1940. She operated a grocery store here many years. She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church and its Altar Society, and also a member of St. Mary’s Court No. 208. She moved to California in 1962. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Irving (Joyce) Balow, Riverside, California, three grandchildren; Mary, Thomas, and Michael. One sister; Mrs. Henry Gosse, Wabasha and one brother Joseph Budde, Wabasha. Five sisters and three brothers have died. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Felix Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John A. Mich officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Altar Society said the Rosary at 3 p.m. and the Catholic Order of Foresters said the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The members of the Foresters were honorary pallbearers and the Altar Society and Foresters attended the funeral in a group. Pall bearers were Dean Plank, Ed Malone, Larry Schlundt, Norm Scheel, Vince Suilman and Robert Fitzgerald.
