Mass of the Christian burial for LaVonne Rose Daeges will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll.

Mrs. Daeges, 64, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 3, at her home in Carroll.

Father Douglas M. Klein will preside at the services.

Gift bearers at the Mass will be Donald Drees, Dorothy Eckhart and Howard Drees.

Casket bearers will be Howard Drees Jr., Bob Drees, Tom Drees, Jim Drees, Denny Drees and Brian Ragaller.

Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemtery in Carroll.

Visitation began at 2:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. There will be a prayer service at 3 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born Dec. 4, 1934, in Carroll, the daughter of Louis W. and Theresa M. (Eischeid) Drees. She graduated from St. Angela's Academy in Carroll and the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Neb., with a teaching degree.

She and Daryl A. Daeges were married June 7, 1955, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll by Father James Fangman.

She formerly taught at St. Lawrence School in Carroll and worked for many years on the farm with her husband. She also formerly worked for New Hope Village and had worked at American Home Shield since 1990.

Mrs. Daeges is survived by five children and their spouses, Becky Daeges of Houston, Texas, Cyndi and Alan Shook of Panora, Iowa, Kris and Duane Horsley of Carroll, Kathy and Curt Christensen of Lincoln, Neb., and Amy and Tom Riddle of Carroll; 17 grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Louis J. and Teddy Drees of Ormond Beach, Fla., Donald and Jane Drees of Carroll and Howard and Pat Drees of Carroll; a sister, Dorothy Eckhart, of Carroll; and a brother-in-law, Richard W. Collison, of Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daryl Daeges; a son, Michael Daeges; a sister, Maxine Collison; and a brother, Douglas Drees.
