Frederick H. Remmel, 85, of Lehigh Township, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at Whitehall Manor in Whitehall.

Born February 25, 1925 in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Tilgham and Florence (Young) Remmel. He and his wife, Lorraine M. (Royer) Remmel were married on October 27, 1950.

Frederick was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church, Catasauqua. He was employed by Mack Trucks for many years before retiring and serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors: Along with his wife he is survived by sister, Betty wife of David Heiney of Catasauqua, PA; brother, Paul Remmel of Allentown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: Arrangements are being handled by Schisler Funeral Home, Inc. 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. A grave side service will be at Zion Stone Cemetery, Kreidersville at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010.
