Albert Koeppen, 79, of 1228 Trimberger Ct., retired furniture factory worker, died Friday at his home.
A son of the late Friederich and Caroline Koeppen, he was born here Aug. 3, 1875.
He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and was confirmed in that church with the class of 1888.
He had been employed by various furniture factories of the city, and prior to his retirement was a watchman for the Armour Leather Co.
On March 22, 1910, he married the former Miss Edith Shay of Prentice, Wis. The couple had lived here ever since.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Vernice, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Ernst Mester of Lyons, Ill.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur.
Services will be held at Ramm Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Martin Lehmann, pastor of St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
