Mr. Semmler was born in Belleville January 31, 1868, and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Semmler, nee Anna M. Herr, both natives of Germany. Lena Weinel, whom he married in Belleville, died May 9, 1919. Mr. Semmler had last been employed at the Harrison Machine Works.
Surviving are a brother and a sister:

Michael L. Semmler, 540 Park Avenue
Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Funeral at 3 p.m. Tuesday from Gundlach and Co. Funeral Home to Walnut Hill Cemetery with Rev. B. J. Koehler, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating.
