Margaret Lorenzo Pellegrino, 95, of Shadyside, Pittsburgh, died at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 10, 2002) in Shadyside Hospital.

Born July 29, 1907, in Sykesville, she lived in Shadyside most of her life.

She was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, and was a resident nurse at St. Francis Hospital for many years.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking, quilting and crafts.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony J. Pellegrino of Dallas and Lou F. Pellegrino and James Hair, both of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Anna R. Burkhart of Penn Hills; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. Pellegrino; a grandson, Anthony J. Pellegrino II; and her parents, Fred and Ellen Stuthers Lorenzo.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the JOHN F. KRUPA FUNERAL HOME INC., 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a blessing service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park mausoleum, Lower Burrell.
