Brace D. Oliver, 81, formerly of rural Libertyville died Tuesday night August 30, 2016 at the home of his son near Stockport where he had lived the past two years.

He was born September 28, 1934 near Selma to F. Abraham and Florence Rogers Oliver.

Brace married Rose Bartholomew January 7, 1956 in Indiana. She died January 5, 2010.

Brace spent his active life farming in rural Libertyville and was also Pastor of Jesus Is The Answer Fellowship Church in Ottumwa and had made many trips to foreign countries as a missionary including Africa, Philippines and Guatamala.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon Oliver (Pamela) of Stockport and Ed Oliver (Trudy) of Batavia, a daughter, Karen Prideaux of O'Fallon, MO, nine grandchildren, Paul, Dennis and Melonie Oliver, Lindsey Jansma and Lauren Oliver-Price, Leanne Posielenzny, Traci Adkins and Jennifer and Meghan Prideaux, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Laddie Oliver (Deborah) of Washington and Gordon Oliver (Betty) of Douds, three sisters, Vivian Sherred (Lyall) of Denver, CO, Violet Oliver of Lansing, MI and Miriam Headly (David) of Hutchinson, KS, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Zuehlke.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday September 3, 2016 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Pastor Dale Raatz officiating. Burial will be in Brethren Cemetery, rural Batavia.
Visitation will open at 3 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with family present 5-7 P.M.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26959 Route J-16, Stockport, IA 52651.
