Pekin -- Felix F. Krentz, 77, of 1430 N. Eighth St. died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Hasty, Colo., to John P. and Catherine Eckerman Krentz.

Surviving are one son, Joseph (and Marilyn) of Denmark, Wis.; one daughter, Kathleen Brown of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Francis, Leonard and William, all of Hector, Minn.; five sisters, Johanna Berwald of St. Paul, Minn., Sister Mary Elizabeth Krentz of Toledo, Ohio, Katie Schnickel of Denver, Colo., Susie Berwald of South Dakota and Bernadette Multer of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He was a steamfitter for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Steamfitters Local 353 in Peoria. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Gerald Verdun will officiate.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Abts Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
