Mrs. David Anschutz Died.
Katherine L. [E.] Anschutz, 80, wife of David Anschutz, of southwest of Wilson, died Wednesday in Topeka at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Schulz.
Mrs. Anschutz was born in Russia on November 6, 1867, and came to Wilson with her parents at an early age. For the past two years she has been in Topeka at the home of her daughter. She was a member of the Immanuel's Lutheran Church here.
Besides her husband and daughter, she leaves five sons, Ernest, of Phillipsburg; Albert, of Topeka; and Arthur, Henry and William, of Wilson; a sister, Mrs. Anna Friebus, of Wilson; 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday at the Wilson Presbyterian Church.
Rev. W. J. Stelling, pastor of the Ellsworth Lutheran church, will be in charge of the services.

Mrs. David Anschutz.
Katherine Elizabeth Anschutz, daughter of Carl and Marie Friebus, was born in Thelausa (also known as Fischer) Russia, on November 6, 1867. Here she was baptized in her infancy. At the age of ten she left with her family for Cape Town, Cape Colony, South Africa, where the family resided for 7 years. It was here in Cape Town where she was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. In the year 1885 she came with her family to America, to Lincoln, Nebr., and then to Wilson.
On November 20, 1888, she was united in marriage to David Anschutz of Wilson. She, with her husband, settled on a farm southwest of Wilson where she lived the remaining years of her life, with the exception of the last two years she lived with her daughter at Topeka, where on March 24, 1947 [1948], she was called to her final reward, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 18 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her bereaved husband, six children, namely: Ernest E., of Phillipsburg; Albert H., and Mrs. Dorothy Schulz, of Topeka; and Henry N., William F., and Arthur R., of Wilson. twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One son, Carl H., preceded her in death in 1932. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Anna Friebus, of Wilson and a host of other relatives and friends.
