Audrey Hazel Scheck (nee Wacker), of Spencer, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Hartland, Ohio, to Herbert and Ruby Krugman Wacker. Mrs. Scheck was a lifelong resident of Spencer and attended Wellington High School. She worked at the family business, Scheck's Hardware Store in Spencer, for many years. She retired from the Black River school system after 30 years of service as an elementary school secretary and secretary to the superintendent. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and her immediate and extended families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eldon and Paul Wacker; sister, Alberta Sprinkle; sisters-in-law, Alma, Genevive and Norma Wacker; and brother-in-law, Raymond Pasadyn.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., Spencer. Pastor Tom Keller will officiate.
Burial: Spencer Cemetery.
Visiting hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
