Lois Joanne Pasadyn, 95, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on June 29th, 2023. Her compassionate spirit will travel to heaven, where she can join hands again with her beloved son Mark Pasadyn (Jackie). Joanne was born one of twelve siblings to Herbert and Ruby Wacker in LaGrange, Ohio on January 11, 1928.

Her first job was a counter girl at a grocery store in Wellington. She then spent over 25 years working as a punch press operator at Timm Springs while raising her family in Lorain County with her late husband Ray Pasadyn. She is survived by her four siblings, Alan Wacker, Lavonne Venus (née Wacker), Betty Ann McConnell (née Wacker), Robert (Bob) Wacker, her beloved children, Dennis Pasadyn, Linda Fields (Jeff), and Leon Pasadyn (Jeannine), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great children.

Joanne, also known as "Grandma" or "GP," had many passions in life, including regularly attending Catholic Church, playing cards (specifically "shooting the moon" in Hearts), making potato salad or baking Zucchini bread, watching sports, completing puzzles, and traveling all over the country to see family. Joanne had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed tracking the weather, gardening, mowing the lawn, and observing birds, trees, and flowers. From early morning coffee to post-dinner ice cream pie, Grandma lived life to the fullest.

Grandma Pasadyn was a social being. She maintained countless long-distance relationships, eagerly answering and making several phone calls per day with a wide range of loved ones - from siblings to grandchildren to classmates to card-playing friends. Those lucky enough to have Joanne in their life will remember her positive outlook, sharp observations, quick wit, and infectious laughter.

Joanne will forever be treasured for her commitment to family, as she always placed those around her far above herself. Her loved ones greatly appreciated and will always remember how she supported them in all facets of their lives, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Her dedication to the Lord and steadfast religious values remain a strong part of her legacy as well.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Monday July 17, 2023 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, Ohio where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Monday prior to Mass. The Reverend Father John P. Seabold, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery in Grafton.
