Otto Friedrichs' date of baptism is not known as the record book for the year 1867 is missing from the archives of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ummendorf, Germany.
Family lore states that Otto died when he was run over by a wagon.
Otto was buried August 3, 1880, in Ummendorf.

At his death in 1880 at the age of 12 years, Otto Friedrichs was survived by his parents, Christoph and Dorothea (nee Luddemann) Friedrichs; his brother, Hermann Friedrichs; and his sisters, Marie, Alwine, Emilie, and Elsbeth Friedrichs. He was also survived by his paternal grandparents, Johann Heinrich Friedrichs and Maria Catharine (nee Ulrich) Friedrichs.

Otto Friedrichs was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johann Friedrich Christoph Luddemann and Marie Elisabeth (nee Assel) Luddemann; and by three brothers: Christoph Wilhelm Friedrichs and Carl Franz Friedrichs, and an unnamed infant brother.
