MRS. FRANCES MAKOWSKI, 193 Lakeview Ave, died last night at City Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Peter Makowski and a native of Poland. She had lived in this city about 50 years. Mrs. Makowski was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of St. Albert's Society, Polish Roman Catholic Union. She also belonged to the Ladies Rosary Society of her church, and was a retired employe of the Onondaga Pottery Co.
Surviving are two daughters Miss Sarah Makowski and Mrs. Carmen Pirro; three sons, Stephen, James, Sigmund Makowski, all of Syracuse; a sister, Miss Duminowski of Poland and six grandchildren.
Services will be at the Giminski Funeral Home at a time to be announced. Friends may call from 7 to 10 p.m. today at the funeral home.
