SISTER EMILIANA O. S. B. Sister Emiliana von Drehle O. S. B. died at the St. Cloud hospital at 10:10 Easter Sunday morning. She was 66 years old and nad been ill at the hospital for several years. The funeral will be held at 8 oclock Tuesday morning in the chapel at St. Benedict's, and burial made in the convent cemetery. Sister Elizabeth of the hospital is a sister of Sister Emiliana.
From the Chronicles: March 16, 1929 In March 1929 (16th) Sr. Emiliana, the Subprioress, was seized by a sudden illness and prepared for death March 24th. All missions were notified and prayers were offered by all. Contrary to expectations she did not die but had several relapses which made it necessary for her to hand in her resignation to Rev. Mother Louisa. Sister Emiliana VonDrehle (1873–1940) served as a nurse and teacher before being appointed subprioress. She had a sister in the community, Sister Elizabeth (1877–1956), who was a nurse.
