She was born in Corning, daughter of John and Anna Tapper.
She attended Northside High School in Corning and for 17 years was employed in the food service department of Mount Morris Central High School.
Surviving are two sons, James of Owego and John of Holley; a daughter, Rosalyn Stout of Mount Morris; a sister, Ruth Staahl of Big Flats; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held this morning at Shepard Funeral home, Mount Morris, the Rev. Christopher Thomforde officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Morris.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mount Morris Ambulance Fund or the Mount Morris Jaws of Life Fund.
