Fred Hanstedt, 321 W. Pulaski Street, Pulaski, died Thursday, January 2, at 2:00 p.m. after an illness of the past two years. He was 78. He was born June 13, 1896 in the Town of Angelica to the late Frederick and Eliza McKenna Hanstedt. He farmed in the Town of Angelica for 23 years, then worked for the Pulaski Telephone Co. for 13 years until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army for four months and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 337 at Pulaski.

November 1, 1922, he and the former Freda Bohm were married in the Town of Angelica. He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Angelica.

Survivors include his wife, Freda; three daughters: Mrs. Harold (Annabelle) Horn, Mrs. Lester (Maribelle) Boerst and Mrs. Orville (Ione) Muck, all of Green Bay and one son, Alvin, route 1, Pulaski. Other survivors are five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one brother, William Hanstedt of Shawano. Those who have preceded him in death are one granddaughter, four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 5, at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Angelica with Rev. Philip Geiger officiating at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at the church cemetery. The Wendt Funeral Home of Bonduel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
