Delmar H. Brandt

Services will be Monday for Delmar H. Brandt, a resident of Santa Cruz for 30 years, who died Friday in a local hospital at age 62.

Mr. Brandt was born in Illinois. He came to Santa Cruz in 1953 and owned and operated Del's Eggs in Soquel.

He was a member of the Aptos Lions Club. Mr. Brandt was also a veteran of World War II. He served with the Fourth Combat Engineers in Normandy and the Rhineland campaigns.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Brandt of Santa Cruz; two sons, Marvin Brandt of Santa Cruz and Raymond Brandt of Napa; a daughter, MarneII MeKnew of Salinas; his mother, Mathilda Brandt of Capitola; two brothers, Virgil Brandt of Strathmore and Dr. Wallace Brandt of Kinnelon, N.J.; a sister, Phyllis Heckenbach of Denver, Colo. and five grandsons.

Services will be at 11 a.m Monday at the Community Covenant Church, 2700 El Rancho Drive, Scotts Valley. Rev. Paul Pfotenhauer of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church will officiate.

Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Drive, Soquel, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. to 8 p m. today.

Private interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.

Contributions will be preferred to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church's building fund, 2601 Park Ave., Soquel.
