Joseph "Joe" Curvin Kessler was the son of Curvin and Hilda Adams Kessler Crawford. He was married to Audrey Houck Kessler. He attended Eichelberger High School in Hanover, PA with the class of 1952. He then served in the United States Air Force for the next four years. This is where he met his first wife Madeline and they were the parents of Mart, Leslie and Laurie. Later he married Audrey were he was the father of Dan, Tom and Andy. He worked for Schick Company earlier on. Then he worked at Stauffers of Kissel Hill. He was the father of Mart Kessler, Leslie Kessler, Laurie Kessler Morrow, Daniel "Dan" Kessler, Thomas "Tom" Kessler and Andrew "Andy" Kessler.

LANCASTER Joseph C. Kessler, 55, of 270 E. Oregon Rd., Lancaster, died Friday evening, June 30, 1989, at his home. Born in Hanover he was the son of the late Curvin and Hilda Adams Kessler. He was the husband of Audrey Houck Kessler. He was formerly employed by Commonwealth National Bank of Harrisburg as a computer operator. Surviving are four sons, Daniel, Thomas and Andrew Kessler of Lancaster and Marty Kessler of Arizona ; two daughters, Leslie and Laurie Kessler of Arizona; five grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Orfeo, Lancaster; and a brother, Robert Kessler, 304 Park Heights Blvd., Hanover. Funeral services will be held at Young Funeral Home, 317 E. Orange St. Lancaster, Monday at 2 p.m. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 1p.m. on Monday.
