Born on Thursday, September 23, 1937 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Curvin H. and Hilda Cecelia Adams Kessler. A 1956 graduate of the Williamson Trade School, he was later employed by Tradition House Furniture for 41 years, retiring in 1997. Bob proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard, and was a former member of Calvary Bible Church and most recently, the Hanover First Church of God. He was a member of the Industrial Management Club, Christian Businessman's Club, and the Organ Club. Gifted with his hands, Bob constructed the family home on Park Heights Boulevard.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 55 years, are three daughters, Stacy Keeny and her husband, Keith, of Spring Grove, Robin Rohrbaugh and her husband Jeffrey, of Hanover, and Laura Hershey and her husband, Ronald, of Hanover; eleven grandchildren, Lynette McCarl, Adrian Keeny, Kayla Franklin, Kirsten, Katelyn, Brandon, Aaron, Ashley, Jacob & Jennalyn Rohrbaugh and Karissa Hershey; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Tiana, Lawrence and Neo; nephews, Nicholas "Nic" Orfeo, Daniel and Andrew Kessler, nieces, Christine Orfeo and Laurie Morrow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Orfeo, William "Billy," and Joseph "Joe" Kessler.
A private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
