He was born August 26, 1938 in Perry County, MO son of Clarence Roy and Adell Ellen (Zahner) Schremp. He and Euline Marie Cattoor were married on May 28, 1960. She survives in Perryville, MO.
Russell was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133 booster. He was a US Navy Veteran. He loved the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing, playing horse shoes and cards.
Other survivors include one son, Neil Schremp of Perryville; one daughter, Tina (Brian) Seabaugh of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Leland (Ruby) Schremp and Dale (Carol) Schremp all of Perryville; and five grandchildren, Bradley Schremp, Zachary Schremp, Jacob Seabaugh, Jarett Seabaugh and Katie Seabaugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Melvin Schremp; one son, Allan Schremp; and one daughter-in-law, Carla Schremp.
Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, October 19 from 9:00 am until time of service at 12 Noon with Rev. Rickey Valleroy officiating. Inurnment in Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoluem at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
