David Ambrose Miller was born on August 5, 1944, at the family home in Creston, Ia. He was one of ten children born to Helen Irene (May) and Wendeline Vincent Miller. He was delivered by his older sister, Ethel Carson. David lived most of his life in Creston, attending elementary school at Saint Malachy School, two years at Creston High School and attended his junior year in Thayer.
On September 28, 1964, David married Mary Jane Dewees and in 2018 they celebrated their 54th anniversary. To this union, four sons were born, Randy, David, Tracy and Jason, all of whom David was very proud of. He still had room in his heart to love Leticia, Laura, Alexa (who they adopted when she was 4 years old) and Stacy. Together they all resided at the Miller Home in Creston.
David worked for Union County Roads, Hills-McCanna/Wellmans and Vanmark. Following his retirement, he drove a truck for Billy Bentley.
Some of David's favorites were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his friends and the men that he worked with. He also enjoyed garage sales and auctions. His sons have many more memories of him (some of which cannot be shared here).
David is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Randy, Scott, Jason, Alexa, Laura and Stacy. Grandchildren, Samantha, Kasey, Marissa, Jesetta, Denver, David, Jeremy, Tristen, Trinitey, Taren, Teagen and Kynadee; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jace, and Adelyne; and daughter-in-law, Fawn.
