Otto Buhs Sr., 71, of 1220 Krause Ave., died at his home Friday.

Mr. Buhs was a laborer for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad prior to his retirement two years ago. He was born at Emden Sept. 22, 1884, a son of Harbert and Christina Stomberg Buhs. He married Linda F. Lang in Iowa in 1905. He had resided in Peoria since 1900.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Henry Buhs of Bellevue, Otto Buhs Jr. of Bartonville and Elmer J. Buhs of Peoria; four daughters, Mrs. Christina Biegler and Mrs. Rosetta Rosenthal, both of Peoria, Mrs. Jeanetta Parker of Bartonville and Mrs. Thelma Gudat of Sunnyland; one stepson, Ernest Martin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Wilburt Buhs and John Buhs, both of Peoria; and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Johnson, also of Peoria. One son, one daughter, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Cemetery.
