PEORIA - Rosetta Mae Rosenthal , age 96, of Orange City, Fla., formerly of Peoria, passed away at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Deland, Fla., on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005.

She was born on Oct. 6, 1909, in Peoria to Otto and Linda Lang Buhs. She married Elmer E. Rosenthal in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1968.

Rosetta was employed by Boss Glove Manufacturing in Peoria for several years prior to her retirement in 1984.

She was past president of the VFW Auxiliary in Peoria and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peoria.

She is survived by two sons, Walter (Helen) Rosenthal of Deltona, Fla., and James (Christine) Rosenthal of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Jeanetta Parker of Osage, Mo., and Thelma Gudat of St. David, Ill. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, one son, August "Tom" Rosenthal , one daughter, Ruth Rosenthal , five brothers and one sister.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, with the Rev. Steven Tibbetts officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Peoria.
