Gordon R. Hoffmann of Stillwater, MN died Wednesday morning November 29, 2017 surrounded by his wife and children in the comfort of his home.

He was 77 years old. Gordy was born August 24, 1940 in Turtle Lake, WI. He graduated from Turtle Lake High School and received degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in chemistry and mathematics, as well as BBA from the University of Minnesota. Gordy served in the US Army during years 1964 and 1965 where he held a position with top clearance at the US Pentagon during the Vietnam War.

Gordy married his wife Lynda (Lund) of Menomonie, WI on November 25, 1967. Together they had three children Jennifer (Rudh), Jim, and Andrea (Johnston). Gordy worked in the accounting field where he was securities and investment licensed and specialized in tax and financial planning. He loved family, farming, and football.

Gordy is survived by his wife and three children.

A private family service is planned at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN, followed by a public Celebration of Life open house at Olde Towne Banquet Hall in Menomonie, WI on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Memorials are asked to be made to the National Ataxia Foundation, or the UW Eau Claire John Kell Football Endowment.
