Mrs. Lydia Dotz, 88, of 2014 S. 13th St., died this morning, Monday, August 28, 1989, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
The former Lydia Nikisch was born in Sheboygan on May 24, 1901, the daughter of the late Karl and Anna Zutz Nikisch. She attended Bethlehem Lutheran School.
On October 23, 1920 she married Alexander Dotz, of Sheboygan, at Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage. Mr. Dotz preceded her in death on October 20, 1983. Lydia was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur (Blanche) Dotz and Robert A. (Ruth) Dotz; a daughter, Audrey (James) Peterson, all of Sheboygan; four granddaughters and three great-grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Edna Bayens, of Sheboygan. One brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Robert F. Stellwagen, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Ballhorns from 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Dotz's name.
