The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 21, 1:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Marsha Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Leigh, at 3:30 P.M. with military honors by the American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from noon - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Henry was born April 10, 1931, in rural Leigh, Nebraska, to Henry A. and Helena (Cohrs) Groteluschen. He attended school in rural Leigh until eighth grade then worked with his father on the family farm. He entered the U.S. Army on January 25, 1952 and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on January 31, 1955. Henry returned to rural Leigh, Nebraska and married Marjorie Belina on August 11th, 1959. Henry worked on the family farm and raised three sons; Michael, Keith, and Brian. Henry and Marjorie divorced in 1965. In 1966, he was employed by Behlen Manufacturing until retirement in 2006. During this time he moved to Columbus, Nebraska where meet and married Lillian Wennekemp in 1976 and divorced in 1997. Henry was a member of the Columbus V.F.W. and enjoyed fishing, polka music, and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
