Ralph H. Menne, 87, of Kiel died Thursday morning, July 31, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.
He was born February 9, 1921 in Kiel son of the late Peter & Rose Schnell Menne.
Ralph was a Kiel High School graduate and a veteran of the U.S. Army/Air Corp serving his country proudly during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
On October 24, 1953 he married Audrey Meyer at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna.
Ralph worked for many years for the City of Kiel as the Superintendent of Electric Utilities, retiring in 1985. After retirement he remained active with the City Council for many years.
He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel and a former member of the Parish Council. Ralph enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Audrey of Kiel, three children: James (Bonnie) Menne, Sheboygan, Tim (Becky) Menne, Plymouth, Sarah (Barry) Polster, Sheboygan Falls, four grandchildren, Ryan (Kendall) Johnson, Erin Menne & special friend, Josh Williams, Kyle Menne, Marcus Polster and one great granddaughter, MiKala. He is further survived by one sister, Grace Stier, New Holstein, one brother, Gerald (Mary Ann) Menne, Ashwaubenon.
