Mrs. Rose Menne, 80, of 55 Chicago Street, Kiel, widow of Peter, died at her home on Friday afternoon after a short illness.

The former Rose Schnell, she was born on August 8, 1896 in the Town of Eaton, the daughter of John and Anna Herr Schnell. She attended district school, and parochial school in St. Nazianz. On November 19, 1918 she was married to Mr. Menne at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. Her husband died on October 17, 1933. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, its Christian Mothers Society, the Kiel Senior Citizens and the Tri-County VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Leslie Stier, Route 1, Kiel; two sons, Ralph of Kiel and Gerald of Green Bay; 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Utecht of Oconomowoc and Mrs. Viola Harkins, Kiel, and a brother, Andrew of New Holstein.

The funeral Mass was read Monday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Reverend Francis Kerscher, pastor, celebrated the Mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
