Laura Emma Christian passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. She was born April 4, 1942 in Mildred. She enjoyed gardening, reading books, family "grandkids," recipe books and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Trace Christian, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Tim Christian and wife Jodie, Lisa Thedford and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Heather Flores and husband Matt, Hillary Caudillo and husband Alex, Haley Hejny and husband Adam, Hunter Thedford and wife Hannah, Cain Brown and wife Dixie, Lindsay Young and husband Michael, Scott Tucker, Gavin Tucker, Kian Long, Finley Tucker and Ramzey Tucker; great grandchildren, Kenna Flores, Gage Flores, Noah Caudillo, Abel Caudillo, Cole Hejny, McKeltie Brown, Dallas Brown, Laykin Young, Kaylin Young and Rylie Brown. She is also survived by siblings, Jessie Farmer, Rita Bernsen and husband Wayne, Sandra Youngblood, Barbara Blum, Lita Farr and husband Clayton and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Mike Ballard officiating.
Interment to follow at New Chatfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Christian, Kevin Thedford, Hunter Thedford, Austin Anderson, Matthew Flores, Alex Caudillo, Adam Hejny and Daryl Bernsen. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Sliger, Steve Haynie, Scott Tucker and Todd Farmer.
