Tandy Jenkins, 92, Eldon, Mo., died Friday, June 6, 2003, in
Eldon, Mo. He was born March 27, 1911 in Bagnell, Mo., the son of Isaac
Anderson and Cora Alice (Bond) Jenkins. He was married May 22, 1931 in
Bagnell, Mo. to Bonita Alberta (Stephens) Jenkins, who preceded him in death
in 1990.
Survivors include: one son, Kenneth Jenkins, Eldon, Mo.;
daughters Judi McDaniel, Springfield, Mo. and Carol Lilly, Atlanta, Ga.;
grandchildren, Kent McDaniel, Steven McDaniel, Michelle Roy, Bonnie Rojas,
Larry Bishop, Daryl Bishop, Ginger Tucker and Geoff Whaley; 12
great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Albertson, Belton, Mo., Eula Allen,
state of In.; special friend, Dorothy Sutton, Eldon, Mo. He was preceded in
death by 2 daughters, Lois Davis, Barbara Whaley, 6 brothers, Desmond,
Basil, Earl, Arthur, Hershel and Robie Jenkins, 3 sisters, Emily Jenkins,
Thelma Roberts and Burie Reid.
Tandy loved the Lord and lived his testimony as an active member
of New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett, Mo. He retired from Dillons
Food Store. He enjoyed singing and whistling.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Phillips
Funeral Home, Eldon, Mo. with Pastor Ron Hess officiating. Visitation will
be 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Eugene
Cemetery, Eugene, Mo. Memorial contributions suggested to the New Life
Assembly of God Church.
