Wanda will be laid to rest next to her husband Jim in Eugene, MO in a private ceremony with her family.
Wanda was born October, 27 1925 in Eugene, MO to Isaac and Cora Jenkins.

She was the youngest of 10 children. Wanda married Jim Albertson March 29, 1941 then moved to Kansas City where they raised their three children.
The simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She loved to dance and did so at every given opportunity, especially Jig dancing. She loved to play cards. Rummy and Pitch were two of her favorite card games she played often with friends and family. In the last few years of her life, while Jeanne was caring for her, they played cards almost every night.

She loved spending time in the kitchen creating dishes for family and friends. Her cooking and baking skills were equally exceptional. She loved to entertain guests and had a talent for hosting. She loved to travel. Wanda and her husband Jim traveled often for pleasure and enjoyed traveling the country in search of Antiques. After Jim's death, Wanda continued to travel inside and outside the US. She visited Hawaii, Scotland and Alaska with her daughter Jeanne along with Cruises up and down the coasts.

While raising three children she held various positions outside of the home over her lifetime. She worked at the Russel Stover Factory at 12th & Main in Kansas City. She progressed to a position with JC Penny at their Regional Credit Services office. She was an Avon Lady for many years. In the mid to late 70s she opened a consignment shop in Mission, Kansas while operating Albertson Antiques with her husband Jim. Wanda and Jim were partners in every sense of the word. As her husband Jim progressed his career becoming an Auctioneer and obtained his real estate license, Wanda progressed alongside him becoming a Certified Appraiser for Jewelry and Antiques which expanded their business to include Auction and Estate sale services.

Wanda volunteered her time graciously. She served on the PTA at Roseland Elementary School for many years leading to her election as PTA President. She received an honor from the Governor for 43 years of service with the Election Office in Johnson County. She served with the American Legion Auxiliary in Shawnee Mission, KS for many years which lead to her election as Auxiliary President. She was bestowed the honor of Woman of the Year by the Mission Chamber of Commerce in 1982. Wanda also served her church and community at any given chance. Many considered her as the person to call if a family or friend was in need.

Wanda was proceeded in death by her husband James Albertson; daughter Mitzi Jo Beard; parents Isaac and Cora Jenkins; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Jeanne McIntosh; son James Albertson II (Patty); 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
