Age 86, son of the late Frank J. and Antonia Gallo Corapi. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail handler and clerk until his retirement in 1989. He also owned and operated a concrete contracting service for many years. William was the editor of the Postal Union newspaper. He enjoyed bowling.

William was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Conchetta J. "Connie" Corapi on August 17, 2008, a son James Corapi; five brothers John, Joseph, Michael, Edward and Frank Corapi and two sisters Mary Angela Corapi and Mary Coursey.

He is survived by a daughter Annette Juliano (Stephen) of Erie; two sons Frank J. Corapi (Teresa) of Wattsburg, William B. Corapi (Stacy) of Erie; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Peter, Thomas and Anthony Corapi and a sister Adeline Giannamore.
