Former Marysville resident, Elmer William Hoffman, 62, of 191 S. Princeton, Columbus, passed away in his home on Monday, October 22 at 12:50 a.m. He had been ill for two months.

Born in Marysville to the late Leonard and Margaret Gunderman Hoffman on July 5, 1894, he was married on August 28, 1917 to the former Edith Grow, who survives him. The couple had lived in Fostoria, Ohio before moving to Columbus. Mr. Hoffman was confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Carl Leonard Hoffman; and two sister, Minnie and Christine. He is survived by his widow; and two children, Mrs. John (Virginia Helen) Garber and Elmer Allen Hoffman, both of Columbus; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ruble of Marysville; and two brothers, Ernest Hoffman of Columbus and Fred Hoffman of Connorsville, Indiana.
