Rites Held For Mrs. Osterbuhr
Mrs. Osterbuhr was born in Plymouth County near Le Mars September 15, 1887. She was married to Fred Osterbuhr in 1905 and continued three years ago when she came to Hawarden and made her home on a farm in this vicinity. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Grant township Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid of that organization.
Mrs. Osterbuhr had been in poor health for some time but was up and about and was preparing breakfast when she was stricken.
Mrs. Fred Osterbuhr, 60, of Hawarden, who spent most of her life in Plymouth County, died at her home 4 ½ miles northeast of this city about 5:30 Saturday morning following a heart attack.

Survivors include the widower and four children, Otto of Akron, Elmer and Mrs. Elmer Popken of Hawarden and Mrs. John Detloff of Omaha; one brother, Jacob Euken of Long Beach, Calif., and seven grandchildren. One child died in infancy.

Gravesite Details

Funeral services were held at the Ross Funeral Home at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and at Grant Township Lutheran church in Plymouth County at 2:30 with Rev. F. Bunge in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery.
