His parents were Solomon Noll and Mary E. Dickinson, who were married Feb. 14, 1884, in Cedar County, Iowa. They moved to a farm in Ida County near Arthur. He married Lora Devine on Jan. 1, 1914. After three years of farming in Ida County, they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where the three older children were born. They lived there for 11 years before returning to Ida County. In 1928, they returned to Ida County. They had 6 children.
Survivors include his wife, Lora (Devine) Noll, and four sons, Donald James of Florida; Roy A. Noll of Arthur, Iowa; Wilmer of Ida Grove; Melvin of Anamosa, Iowa; two daughters, Barbara Bennett of Ida Grove; and Marjorie Wadsley of Nemaha, Iowa; 23 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; a brother, and a sister, Mabel Jordan, of Washington.
