Michael Psyk of 317 Lexington Avenue, died Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital. A native of Poland, he had lived ion Syracuse 48 years. He was an employee of the parks department until he retired 10 years ago. Mr. Pskk was one of the founders of Sacred Heart Church and of St. Albert's Society, P.R.C.U. Surviving are a son, Anthony Psyk; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Bargelski, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 A.M. Friday at the home and at 9 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

According to the 1910 United States Federal Census, Michael Psyk, 60 years old, and his wife Mary, 59, resided at 300 Richmond Avenue in Syracuse in a home that they rented. Michael's occupation was saloon keeper. They were married 30 years. Mary had ten children, four of whom were living. Residing with them were two of their sons: Walter Psyk, 22, and his wife Mary; and Stanley, 17. Walter's occupation was "soldering" in a lantern factory; Stanley was a bartender in a saloon. All were born in German-partitioned Poland.

According to the 1920 United States Federal Census, Michael Psyk resided at 535 Richmond Avenue with his daughter, Frances Bargelski and her husband John. Michael Psyk was 58, born in Poland about 1862. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1889. He is listed as being married ["M"] He became a naturalized citizen in 1902. He was unable to read or write but he was able to speak English. His occupation was "Laborer" in the "Steel Mill" industry.

John and Frances Bargelski [the census has them listed as "Bargelska," and John's wife as "Francis," which are incorrect] resided at 535 Richmond Avenue in a home that they rented in Syracuse, New York. John was 34 years old and born Poland about 1886. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1904 when he was about 18 years of age. His occupation was "Roll Man" in the "Steel Work" industry. Frances was 33 years old and born in Poland about 1887. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1892 when she was about 5 years old. Residing with them were their five children, all of whom were born in New York state. The were, daughters: Marion, 10 years old, Rita, 8 and Fances 6; and sons: Raymond, 3 years, 11/12ths of a year old and Arthur, 7/12ths of a year old.

Also living with them were Michael's son, Stanley Psyk. Stanley was 27 years old, single and born in New York state about 1893. His occupation was "Soldier" in the U.S. Army.
