Struble, Iowa - Bruno D. Brunken, 80, of Struble died Wednesday while shoveling snow at his home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Christ Lutheran Church in Grant Township. The Rev. Jack Hebard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today in the Johnson-Luken Funeral Home In Le Mars. Mr. Brunken was born Oct. 31, 1902, at Elgin Township, Plymouth County. He married Margaret Lubben June 27, 1926, in Plymouth County. He farmed in the area until 1941 when he moved to Struble and worked for the Great-Northern Railroad for 25 years, retiring in 1966. He served as mayor of Struble for many years. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Jurgenson of Le Mars; one son, Herbert of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Rieka Renken and Mrs. Etta Johnson, both of Le Mars; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
