Mr. Gottlieb J. Diener, 84, a former resident, currently of 340 Ridge Rd., Newton Falls, Ohio, died Sunday at the Warren General Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
He was born Feb. 8, 1903 in Rhinehardt, Russia, the son of the late Gottlieb and Marie Sessler Diener. He came to Sheboygan in his youth. On Dec. 23, 1926 he married the former Tess Rosepahl.
The couple became Ohio residents where Mr. Diener was employed by the Lux Air Cushion Co. and more recently by the True Car Col in Kent, Ohio, where he was employed for 33 years. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls. He was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Marie Elizabeth Sinsabaugh of Columbus, Ohio, Ida Mae Cuthbertson of Arlington, Virginia; one son, Dr. Carl F. Diener of Tuscon, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Kitty) Ottensmann and Mrs. Marie Stockinger and one brother, Henry Diener, all of Sheboygan .
A family graveside service is being planned for Wedneday at the Lutheran Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels.
