Alfred was born in Muskogee on the 6th of December, 1932 to Leo Alexander Flusche and Sarah Mary (Wichman) Flusche. Alfred was the 7th of 8 children. He spent his youth working on the family farm and ranch. He attended Eugene Field local elementary school and St. Joseph Preparatory Academy.
Alfred married Roxie Jane [Tillery] Flusche on the 23rd of January 1954 in the Catholic Church of the Assumption in Muskogee. After residing in Tulsa, Alfred and Roxie purchased and moved to their ranch property at 4281 South 89th Street West in 1957. They resided there together until Alfred's passing.
Alfred was always a rancher "at heart" and built his cattle operation over the years. In addition to this he held full-time employment with Commercial Bank and Trust for 17 years. He then retired as supervisor at Fort Howard Paper after 18 years of service. Upon retirement, he continued to operate his ranch until his passing on Friday, the 22nd of October.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Sarah Flusche; brothers, Leon Flusche and Vincent Flusche; sisters; Lucille, Irene, Leona and Margaret.
He is survived by his wife Roxie Flusche of the home; sons, Marty (Cheryl) Flusche of Broken Arrow, OK, Timothy Flusche of Plano, TX; sister, Patty Flusche of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Alex (Rebecca) Flusche of Plano, TX, Anna (Alex) Flusche Green of Plano, TX, Aric Flusche of Plano, TX, Elizabeth Flusche of Oklahoma City, OK and Mary Flusche of Houston, OK; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Flusche, Adam Green, Austin Green, Connor Flusche and Mia Flusche.
A Funeral Wake will be held 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 29, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskogee, OK with Father Richard Cristler celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Ahlert, Thomas Ahlert, Allen Ahlert and Mark Ahlert.
