Abraham was born in Klasno, on 1st November 1882.

He was originally a tinsmith, like his father (Baruch Hirsch). He later became a plumber. It seems the family had a large plumbing firm in Krakow (employing a number of - extended - family members, amongst others).

Abraham married a first cousin, Esther Pinkerfeld / Pinkusfeld (daughter of his father's sister, Rachel Lea and her husband Chaim Baruch Pinkerfeld).

They had four children (all given the surname, Goldschmied):
Aron Isaac (b. 17th Oct. 1911, Podgorze)
Leon (b. 16th Feb. 1916 Dejvice. He sadly died young, in 1924 in Podgorze
Henryk (Heinrich) (no further details have been found)
Baruch Hirsch (b. 29th Dec. 1918, Podgorze). He survived the Holocaust, and was reunited with his wife, Manya Mindelgrun. The couple emigrated to Melbourne, Australia after living in France for a while.

Abraham and his wife, Esther were deported to the Krakow ghetto (from Podgorze). There are no more records of either of them. It is assumed they were both murdered either in the ghetto or in the Plaszow concentration camp, Krakow.
