Esther Pinkerfeld was born on 1st January 1888 in Podgorze, Krakow, Poland, the daughter of Rachel Leah / Rachel Lea and Chaim Baruch Pinkerfeld.

She married a first cousin, Abraham Goldschmied. (her mother, Rachel Leah and Abraham's father were siblings)

They lived in Podgorze, Krakow, Poland.

They had four children (all given the surname, Goldschmied):
Aron Isaac (b. 17th Oct. 1911, Podgorze)
Leon (b. 16th Feb. 1916 Dejvice. He sadly died young, in 1924 in Podgorze
Henryk (Heinrich) (no further details have been found)
Baruch Hirsch (b. 29th Dec. 1918, Podgorze). He survived the Holocaust, and was reunited with his wife, Manya Mindelgrun. The couple emigrated to Melbourne, Australia after living in France for a while.

Tragically, Esther and her husband, Abraham were murdered during the Holocaust. No records have been found after they were deported to the newly created Krakow ghetto in 1940.
