Delbert Kern, 78, of 3847 Pratt Lake Rd., Gladwin, MI died in the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a long illness with Cancer. He was born in Bowling Green, OH and moved to Gladwin County in 1931. He was employed by General Motors. He married the former Geneva McManus Nov. 30, 1931 in Manistique, MI
Surviving at the time of his death were his wife, 3 sons, Jack of Flushing, Tom of Tucson, AZ and Richard of Houston, TX, 2 daughters, Barbara Backs of St. Louis, MO and Linda Kern of Almo, KY; one brother Harvey of Gladwin; 4 sisters Carrie Whitman and Evelyn Clore of Gladwin, Alice Lorenz of Flint and Bonnie Taylor of Veldez, Alaska and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers, 3 sisters and a son.
Services were held at the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Sam Wilson Officiated.
