Following the reunification of Vietnam on July 2, 1976, he continued his career, starring in theater troupes and mentoring aspiring Cải Lương actors and actresses. In 1995, he received a gold medal for his performance in "Mặt Trời Đêm Thế Kỷ." Due to health issues, he retired from acting on stage.
