Paul Meissner 1863-1938

Paul Meissner was a first generation American, his parents Carl Wilhelm and Henrietta Wilhelmina Meissner left Zullichau, Prussia via Bremen. They departed May 31, 1852 on the ship Solon landing in Galveston, Texas, USA on Aug 05, 1852. Carl and Henrietta made their home in Cat Springs, Austin County, Texas. Paul was born in New Ulm, Austin County, Texas on March 12, 1864.

He married Louisa Muhlhause and they made their home in Bell County, Texas where they raised their children. Paul and Louisa Muhlhause had four boys: Arthur (1893-1963), August (1895-1951), Louis (1901-1955) and Paul (1915) and five girls: Mary (1891-), Elsie (1897-1964), Erna (1902-), Lucille (1906 ) and Norma Meissner (1908 – 2004).

Paul had six brothers: Otto L. (1852-1933), Max (1854-1900), Charles Ludwig (1856-1935), August (1859-1893), Rudolph (1859-1921) and Paul Meissner (1864-1938) and two sisters: Johanna (1861-1921) and Mary Marie (1870-1942).

Paul and Louisa are buried in Bartlett Cemetery at Bartlett, Bell County, Texas, USA; they share the same headstone.
