Mrs. Minerva Bombarger died at the home of her son B.G. Bombarger, near Sterling, Nebr, Wednesday 24 Jul 1912, aged 71 years, 2 months, 6 days.

The news of her death came as a shock to her friends although she had been critically ill for some time. Deceased was born in Ross County, Ohio, 18 May 1841, where she spent her girlhood, moving with her parents to Union, Illinois, where she was married in 1859 to Peter Bombarger. To this union seven children were born: B.G. Bombarger of Sterling, C.H. Bombarger of Anselmo, Mrs. Phoebe Rowe of Burr, F.E. Bombarger of Tecumseh, Mrs. Rhoda Rowe of Cook, Mrs. Dollie Percival of Burr, Mrs. Eva Carpenter of Douglas.

Her husband died nearly four years ago at his home near Burr. She also leaves two brothers, one of them being Arm Holloway of Cook, and two sisters to mourn her loss.

The funeral was held Friday 26 July at 10 o'clock at the home of B.G. Bombarger, Rev. A.A. Kerber, pastor of the Cook Methodist Evanglical church, conducting the services. The attendance was very large and the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. The remains were interred in the Cook Cemetery.
