Loretta Kollmann, 91, Lake Henry
Loretta B. Kollmann, 91, of Lake Henry, died on Monday, June 21, 2004, at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 25, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry. Reverend Leo Leisen officiated. Burial was in St. Margaret's Parish Cemetery.
Loretta was born Aug. 18, 1912, in Freeport, Minn., to Ferdinand and Catherine (Kerfeld) Meyer. She grew up in Freeport and attended Holy Ghost Academy College in Joliet, Ill., and St. Cloud State University.
She married John Kollmann on June 10, 1940, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Loretta was a homemaker and teacher for 25 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, gardening, birds, oil painting and sharing stories.
She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Rosary Society and Christian Women, and was a CCD teacher.
Loretta is survived by her husband John; children, Marjorie (Stephen) Molstad of Hayward, Wis., Raymond (Mary- Lou) Kollmann of Baltimore, Md., Hubert "Herb" Kollmann of St. Cloud, Mark (Anne Marie) Kollmann of Ham Lake, Fred Kollmann of LaCrescent, Inez (Bill) Lintz of Anusa, Calif., Wally (Mary Lou) Kollmann of Paynesville, Tom (Nancy) Kollmann of Richmond, Alice Kollmann (Dennis St. Peter) of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Connie (Bob) Dolan of Winter Springs, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Moscho, Sr. Mary Jude Meyer, OSB, and Bernadette Lauer.
She was preceded in death by parents; son Ervin; one granddaughter; one grandson; brothers, Joe and Al Meyer; and sisters, Evelyn Rademacher and Margaret Lauer.
